Join Forster Dive Centre for an extraordinary dive adventure to Espiritu Santo, the largest island in the Republic of Vanuatu. Known for its warm hospitality, rich Melanesian culture, lush rainforests and pristine turquoise waters, Vanuatu is a diver’s paradise. Espiritu Santo, in particular, is world-renowned for its breathtaking blue holes, white-sand beaches, and, most famously, one of the greatest wreck dives on the planet—the SS President Coolidge.
Once a luxury ocean liner, later converted into a US troopship during World War II, the SS President Coolidge sank just meters from shore in 1942 after striking allied mines. Today, it rests on its port side between 20–70 meters and offers one of the most accessible large wreck dives anywhere in the world. Divers can explore vast cargo holds, artillery guns, jeeps, chandeliers, medical supplies, and the iconic “Lady and the Unicorn” statue deep within the wreck.
With its sheer size, intact structure, and incredible wartime artefacts, the Coolidge is not just a dive—it’s a journey back in time. Combined with warm tropical water, outstanding visibility, and the vibrant culture of Vanuatu, this trip is the ultimate experience for adventurous divers.
